Week 65 - Destiny

Destiny is unknown to any of us. We can plan all we want, but if its our destiny to live a certain way, we cannot change it.. The Prophet once said "What has reached you, was never meant to miss you.. and what has missed you was never meant to reach you..." Somehow this seems a more appropriate topic of discussion this week in our show Kuch Rang Pyar ke aise bhi.

I must confess first that this blog took the longest time to complete, because.. I kept going back to see the part of the show I was writing about, so that I can get the dialogues right. And then, I ended up engrossed in the show every time, as if it was the first time.. Such an endearing set of episodes this week..

After Dev overheard maami asserting to Ishwari that her relationship with Sonakshi is just the same as before, he became very disturbed. When the week started on that note, I was disturbed myself. Why cant this woman Ishwari see the goodness of Sonakshi even now - even after Sona risked her own life with an evil person like Khatri just for the sake of Ishwari... But then, I also realized that it is not so easy to leave aside the bitter feelings you have accumulated against a person for so many years, just in return for a favor... However, this whole incident of Khatri definitely has brought changes to the equation between her and everyone else..

Ishwari - Dev

Ishwari's act of getting the Prenup signed without Dev's knowledge surely strained their relationship. And Dev was able to openly express his disappointments to Ishwari after that fateful night 7 years ago. All these 7 years had been nothing but hell for Dev and Ishwari. However, the arrival of Suhana in Dev's life mellowed him down and he was able to put aside all the bitter feelings he had for Ishwari and was able to genuinely share with her, his happiness of becoming a father.

Their relationship was already beginning to strengthen with Suhana around.. The Khatri incident has only helped to deepen this mother-son love. Ishwari always was worried that Khatri will be a big villain between her and Dev. But to her relief, this whole incident has ended up strengthening her bond with her son! The reason for this is not just Sonakshi. Even though Sona was instrumental in solving the issue, the biggest relief for Ishwari is that Dev, as a son, has never disappointed her at all! Even when he had to face the bitter truth that Ishwari stole jewelry in order to meet her financial needs, he did not lose any love or respect he had for her. The instant she realized this - her insecurities became completely invisible. There was no reason for her now to fear that Dev might one day, leave her behind.

This is a huge change in the equation between Dev and Ishwari. It was almost as if she freed Dev from the chain of possessiveness that was tightening him. For Dev, there is probably no change in the love he feels for his mom. But for Ishwari, this love is different from what she felt all these years. It was only because of this change, that she was able to acknowledge Dev's request to express their gratitude for Sona and her family by calling them over for dinner. Ishwari was not aware that the dinner will open up many more doors that she had shut down all these years..

I think, there cannot be a better way to resolve any relationship issues, than a dinner for the two families together. There is a saying that "All great changes begin at the dinner table"! πŸ˜Š

That night, she saw Dev with a new set of eyes and she realized that Dev's happiness is not just because of Suhana, but also Sonakshi. But Dev, in fact, did not even tell Ishwari directly anything about how he felt for Sonakshi. How was Ishwari able to recognize his happiness this time, while in the past, she was not able to understand it, even when he deliberately expressed it? The reason is very simple - that she broke the unnecessary bondage between her and Dev.

This is the Ishwari that Dev thought he will have when he told her years ago that he was in love with Sonakshi.  Now after so many years and so many tears, he was able to finally see the mom that Ishwari truly was. I enjoyed their conversation after maami was scolded by Ishwari. The clarity of thought in that conversation is something that I cannot appreciate enough. "Every person we meet in this life has a purpose that binds them with us... Sonakshi's purpose was to show Dev what Love was, when he was very very lonely. But Dev was unable to sustain that Love and he let her go.. But their destiny was such that they should meet again because of Suhana.. And Suhana showed Dev how to sustain Love and nourish it.." This open conversation further enhanced Ishwari and Dev's relationship. πŸ˜Š

It is Dev and Sonakshi's destiny that they should share this life. It is Suhana's destiny that she be born as this couple's dear child. And it is Ishwari's destiny that she get salvation to her sins through Sonakshi. In whatever direction fate might take us, we all have to reach the place we are destined for!

Ishwari-Maami ji

Because of the confidence, Ishwari now has with her relationship with Dev, she was even able to withstand the negative influence Maami ji was trying to force on her! This whole week, I got lot of thrills when maami got ignored/brushed away!! These thrills were much more interesting than even DevAkshi scenes.

As a human being, Ishwari is always someone that respects others, whoever they are. Her relationship with maami ji is always based on the regard that she has for her brother. As her brother's wife, she has, forever respected Radha Rani and given a lot of importance to her advices. With the new set of eyes, that Ishwari now has, she was able to clearly see right vs wrong and was able to stop Maami ji from overpowering her emotions.

I was reminded of this tale about Good and Evil. Once an old man told his grandson "son, there is a battle between two wolves inside us all. One is Evil - it is anger, jealousy, resentment, ego, lies and inferiority.. The other is Good - it is joy, peace hope, kindness, humility, empathy, truth". The boy asked "Grandfather, which wolf wins?". The old man quietly replied "The one you feed". Our destiny is shaped by us. If we feed the Evil, we are sure to reap only grief and sorrow in the end. If we feed the Good, we can reap happiness and joy. The decision is ours! I think Ishwari is wise enough to make this decision now. πŸ˜Š

Ishwari, the woman - Dev's mom Ishwari

Even though these two roles are played by the same person, there is a subtle dual personality that is within this main character. And this week, we got to experience how one personality got separated from the other..

Ishwari's conversation with maama ji pretty much summarized the change that Ishwari was experiencing. This was probably the best scene this week. Again, the dialogue writers must be highly appreciated! "When I was just Ishwari, I could see the goodness of Sona.. now also am able to see how good she is.. But when I looked at her 7 years ago, as Dev's mom, I somehow failed to notice all her goodness.. and was too unfair with her.. I had a feeling of fear about something.. about how my child will leave my hand and hold on to Sonakshi's instead.." - This realization in Ishwari is only due to the fact that she let go of the chain binding her and Dev. She was able to see how her son is much more mature than her and she understood that "maturity" does not come by just counting our years and growing old...

Another interesting part this week in this aspect, was the way she defended Sonakshi in front of the new family that maami ji brought out of nowhere! I think, Ishwari surprised herself with her assertiveness in answering Maami and the supposedly prospective "bride" of Dev! There was a huge clarity of thought in Ishwari's choice of words! She did not hesitate even a bit to take Sona's side and highlight her talent and responsibility in bringing up Suhana, single handedly. Just a few weeks ago, we saw how Ishwari criticized Suhana's "perfectness"! But the realization that she is experiencing now, allowed her to appreciate Sonakshi.

When Ishwari was able to clearly see the difference between her own two personalities, she was able to adore DevAkshi, just like us!! Ishwari saw Dev and Sonakshi looking into each other's eyes with love and Dev helping with Sona's hurt feet. The old Ishwari would have probably walked away and would have muttered to maama ji "uski paas Dev hai" (Remember the time when Dev was applying medicine to Sona's feet during Diwali?") But this new and reformed Ishwari was able to look at them and even long for them to be together again! The family selfie was another wonderful scene! The way Ishwari looked at Sonakshi with affection was worth a million dollars! πŸ˜„

They say when you wish for something with all your heart, then the Universe conspires to make it happen! If Ishwari truly wishes for Dev and Sonakshi to be together, won't the Universe help her? Wont their destiny bring them together? ❤️

Ishwari-Bose family

In Bose family, there is friendship. The person is more important than their relationship! Which is the exact opposite of the Dixit family. Here, the relationships have always been important. Its because of that, a person like Vicky was given a role to play in the Ishwari communications. He being Ishwari's brother's son was the only qualification he had! Its only because of the importance given to relationships, was maami able to make Ishwari dance to her tunes. And this was the reason why Sonakshi was never seen beyond being "Dev's wife". Sonakshi's goodness as a human being was never even noticed by any of them. Her individuality was never given any importance.

Bijoy's one sentence gave this clarity to Ishwari "Kabhi kabhi hume lagta hai ki Saurabh hamara damaad hai our Ronita humari beti" It was because of the "friendship" that was shared in the Bose house that they were able to look at Ronita as their own daughter. Honestly, Ronita will also say that Bijoy and Asha are her parents more than in-laws...

Now, Ishwari will be able to clearly understand the reasoning behind Dev calling Asha as "Maa".  These are not things that Dev or anyone else can explain to her...This has to be a self realization process..And the makers have done a great job in portraying it as a "self realization" instead of someone advising her.. πŸ˜Š

-----

Talking about makers doing a great job, I must say that the lead couple are going through a very pleasant change themselves..What started off as a Boss-Employee relation, changed to friends, lovers, husband-wife and later drifted apart, lost in emptiness.

Their equation in this new phase, started to change a couple of weeks ago. And right now, they are in the beautiful stage of "Best friends" once again πŸ˜Š

Sonakshi has been a very balanced person from the beginning. More importantly, she is not someone, who will talk ill about a person behind their back. So, when Dev told Sonakshi that Ishwari took the medicines as soon as Sona left the room, without any hesitation, she defended Ishwari and tried to look at it from her POV and told Dev how difficult it will be for Ishwari and even her own dad to forget the past in a short time like this...Dev, on the other hand, is a business man. "Strategic planning" comes naturally to him.  He constantly looks for solutions to problems and I am sure, even though he looked convinced at Sonakshi's answer, he was only thinking of how to resolve the coldness that Ishwari and Bijoy still feel. The dinner plan for the two families, was his strategic solution..

There is that issue in his mind, and then there is also a constant need to correct things between him and Sonakshi. His guilt quotient is pretty high and he is unable to express it all in one shot.. In this phase, every conversation between Dev and Sona is very pleasant and they both put a lot of effort in acknowledging that things are not the same between them. Caring for each other comes naturally to them and to underplay their emotions is a conscious effort for both of them. This phase is also beautiful because of the secret admiration and subtle expressions and the sweet care and belonging...❤️πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

-----

Some really wonderful moments this week are..

1. When Dev was mesmerized by Sona's beauty in the Bose house, as she was getting ready for the day. The background dialogues elevated the beauty of this scene - "When I see you, time stops and even my brain stops working for sometime.. Why do you confuse me? Why are you so perfect Ms.Bose?" πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜

2. When, later in the week Sonakshi expressed how much she missed him in the last 7 years by a simple statement she said in the Dixit house garden.. "I tried to make a similar garden in Kolkata..but it wasn't quite like this.. 'cos there was no one to share it with me..." The dialogue writers have a very key role to play in this show! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

3. The Video conversation between Dev and Sona, of course reminded us of the many past video calls, especially the one with the trimmer. It was magical because, there is still that need to look "presentable" for Dev in front of Sona... And that need for Sonakshi to dress well before meeting Dev! ❤️

4. Their scenes, when the light went off in the Dixit house also brought back many old memories! ❤️😘

5. Ishwari's conversation with maama, maami, bijoy and asha were all very important for the story to move forward. πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

6. Lastly, Sonakshi teasing Dev for his hair and goonda look was perfect!! It totally echoed all the fans. I like Shaheer however he is. Clean shaven look and trimmed hair will soon come, I am sure.. Now that Sonakshi has expressed it, Dev will make it happen! πŸ˜„

There is a lot of discussion that Ishwari's redemption is too soon and too easy..and a lot of speculation that Ishwari might not have felt the same way if Suhana was not born. Ishwari's realization is due to the fact that Sona was ready to go to any extreme to save Ishwari from Khatri's clutches and Dev will never let go of Ishwari under any circumstance. Suhana was not even in the picture of Ishwari's change and therefore Suhana's presence or absence will not have impacted the change Ishwari feels towards Sonakshi.. I feel that the reaslisation is also not rushed. Its a series of events and thoughts that are contributing to this change. Obviously, we are going to experience lot of resistance from maami ji and even Bijoy probably, in the coming weeks. We will also get to see Ishwari's heartfelt conversation with Sonakshi soon. The question will now be, how strong is Ishwari... how much can she sustain the negative influences that surround her.. and how much is she willing to adjust, in order to see Sona and her family as her own..😊

The change in Ishwari, according to the recent promo, is going to motivate her to bring Dev and Sona together. But the main difference will now be that Ishwari will not look at Sonakshi as a toy to satisfy her son's needs. She will now be able to look at Sonakshi as a woman, as a human being, as a mother and as a girl that her dear son is in love with, head over heels.πŸ’‘

Fate separated Dev and Sonakshi that unfortunate night... But if their destiny is to live together happily forever - then who can stop it? ❤️

Week 64 - Pillars of strength

Family values are the main focus of this show. In a family, there are all sorts of people, the strong, the weak, the short tempered, the wise, the elderly and the young. For every person in the family, there is one other person who is a pillar of strength.  In fact, a family is a circle of strength.. Every crisis faced together makes the circle stronger! This week in our show, it was all about the pillars of the Dixit home that had become shaky due to a crisis - Dev and Ishwari.

Summary:

Khatri has been blackmailing Ishwari all these years and Dev is shattered when he came to know that his mom had stolen in order to make the ends meet during the financially challenging days of his childhood. He is even more shattered when he heard first hand from the family itself about what they lost because of the robbery. He is unable to even look at his mom in her eyes and talk to her. Sonakshi becomes a huge support for him, in facing this situation. Ishwari is devastated to find that Dev knows all about it and even Sonakshi knows. She suffers a cardiac arrest and is admitted in the hospital. The Bose family is shocked to hear this. But Bijoy is not keen on going to the hospital and is criticized by everyone in his family for being so insensitive. The doctor later confirms that Ishwari is stable. In the meantime, Sonakshi finds out that Khatri is the actual thief who had stolen a majority of the portion of jewelry and traps him intelligently. This is a major relief for Ishwari and she is now able to see Sonakshi beyond the relationship that she shares with Dev.

The part where the female protagonist is shown in the light of being the strongest and perfect is probably very TV-serial type clichΓ©. That aside, it was a truly enjoyable show this week, mainly because of the excellent execution of the characters Ishwari, Dev, and Sonakshi played by Supriya, Shaheer and Erica. πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

Ishwari Dixit - the woman whose secrets were exposed to "everyone"

There is a permanent hatred among the fans, for this woman because she was the main reason behind our DevAkshi separation. And I will not question that hatred, because I myself did not enjoy any of the things she said or did against that relationship. In fact, I am still angry about the way she addressed Sonakshi as "baharwali" even minutes before suffering from that cardiac arrest. In the past I will always go into a loop of thoughts trying to find why she is so possessive of her son. But after watching this week's episode and hearing her own criticism about her, I am able to somewhat see her reasoning behind her behavior, even though I cant forgive her.

Ishwari suddenly got a call and she realized that on the other end was this woman, whose jewelry she stole several years ago, and has ever since, not able to meet her even once (inspite of constantly trying). She broke down instantaneously out of relief that she finally found her. She was extremely apologetic for what she did years ago, with immense hope that the lady might forgive her. But on knowing that the family was devastated because of her robbery, and that her crime is now beyond any redemption, Ishwari was crushed with shame and sorrow. Only an experienced actor like Supriya Pilgaonkar can carry out such a scene with ease. πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»❤️❤️ Please keep in mind that the person to whom she is talking to is not even in front of her and probably not on phone either...During that time, along with all the other truths that were hidden in her deepest conscience, she also confessed that she is greedy for her son's love and therefore she could not let herself be projected as a thief in front of him. Its probably this shortfall of hers that made her insecure and constantly "possess" her son.

For the next few hours, Ishwari had to live in the dark speculating how her dear son's response would be..and it was probably the longest couple of hours for her. One part of her told her that Dev would completely disown her and hate her. The other part told her that he would forgive her and hold her in his heart as always. Once again two thumbs up for this veteran actor!πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

When she finally had to come face to face with her son, she could not even look at him and had to put her head down in humiliation. Even though she openly confessed in front of everyone about her crime, and even though she tried to explain that she is very sorry for whatever she did, her only wish that time was to hear that her son has forgiven her.. She collapsed unsure of what was going on in his mind. Ishwari is the pillar of the Dixit family. She is Dev's strength and when she succumbed to the situation that they were in, Dev also lost his power.

For Ishwari, only Dev matters.  His one word means the whole world to her. It was always this way and it will be this way forever. When she finally woke up in the hospital, this was the first and foremost in her mind..what does Dev think of her? What Dev said in reply, is not new to us or her. Dev is like that. For him, his mother means a lot. As he said, she has the right to love him, to scold him..but never can she apologize to him... It was a big relief for her.

When she saw the family that she was desperate to meet all these years, she was ready to take their curses and was ready to do anything that might reduce their loss.. but was shocked and dumbfounded when she knew that after all, her stealing the 2 bangles did not bring their family to the streets... Infact it was Khatri who had stolen the majority of the portion. And that this truth was revealed by Sonakshi - the woman, who Ishwari thought was a danger in her life all along. This part might seem very filmy - but the fact is that Ishwari was never projected as an "evil". She was against Dev-Sona relationship, which makes her a villain. But she was never shown as an evil person. Infact, she has always been naive and easily manipulated by GKB! That being said, I could overlook the "filmy" angle to it.

This pillar of the Dixit family regained her confidence and strength now, thanks to Sonakshi πŸ˜Š

When Ishwari thanked Sonakshi, it looked heartfelt to me. This time, the way she spoke to her seemed like she was able to see Sonakshi's goodness beyond all the hard feelings she had for her all these years. The way she hugged her and kissed her hands seemed to me that Ishwari has embraced Sonakshi into her life and her family.. The way she spoke to Asha seemed to me that she was atleast trying to forget her past bitterness with the family. The way she told GKB that Sonakshi was a good person seemed to me that she means it..

However, it also very soon occurred to me (thanks to GKB looking at the untouched glass of water, and Ishwari taking the medicine as soon as Sona left the room) that she probably did not accept Sonakshi with all her heart. And that there is still some hesitation...

But inspite of this, I somehow strongly have a feeling that Ishwari is wiser now and is handling GKB in her own way to protect Dev and Sona. It is now clear to her that Sonakshi has not entered their lives to snatch Dev away from her. If that was her intention, then this was a perfect timing for Sona to take advantage.. It is clear to Ishwari that Dev will not let go of her hand under any circumstance...If he was like that, then there cannot be a more convincing reason for it, than now. Isn't this enough for Ishwari to become a pillar of strength for both Dev and Sonakshi? πŸ€”πŸ€”

Dev Dixit - the man who was literally dying out of guilt which is beyond any consolation

When Dev saw that Khatri was instigating that family against his mom, he was not able to control his anger and rightly so! Who can be quiet and composed when your mom is being insulted? Thanks to Sonakshi, his anger was kept under control.  She reminded him that they have come there to reduce the guilt of his mom.. not to beat up Khatri. But, if they had known at that time, that Khatri was the one who had taken all the jewelry and put the blame on Ishwari - then what Dev tried to do was probably the right thing to do! A man like Khatri shouldn't be spared... πŸ‘ŠπŸ»πŸ‘ŠπŸ»πŸ’ͺ🏼πŸ’ͺ🏼

When Dev confronted that family and begged for their forgiveness - I must say that I cried a lot. Shaheer, the actor is not just acting out a set of dialogues given to him. He is someone that lives the character ❤️❤️. And therefore, the emotions that come during the execution is extremely natural πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ». As he went on to hear his mom talk to the family.. and confess profusely for all her sins, Dev Dixit, the other pillar of the Dixit family also broke down. It was an immensely emotional scene, handled extremely well by Shaheer and aptly supported by Erica.πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

When Dev walked away from that place heartbroken and guilt-sticken for all the crime that his mom did for that family, I was only wondering how Dev will ever come out of such a profound guilt.. Dev has always been someone, who cant keep much in his heart except the "sadness".  Everything else, he expresses very clearly to the person that its intended for - Love, anger, care all of these are easily expressed by him. But most often, I have seen him suffer in the sadness of his heart all alone. This one was too much for a person to handle and Sonakshi was just what he needed at that time. All of the flashbacks that played in his mind were all telling him how much he respected his mom and was pushing him more into the guilt zone for finding his mother in a situation like that.

Not just in that scene, but Shaheer did exceedingly well also in the subsequent scenes ❤️❤️ - when he came in Ishwari's imagination as the forgiving and unforgiving son and later when he came home but found it very difficult to see his mom and meet her in her eyes. In the past there were a few times he was unhappy with his mom - all in matters related to Sonakshi. Even though he expressed his disappointment on her during those situations, he never found it difficult to face her. This was the first time, he ever felt like this and therefore he was visibly shaken.

However, nothing can reduce his love for his mother...And that is the Dev Dixit that we and Sonakshi fell in love with.

I thought Dev was shaken enough and there is nothing that could make him more sad.. But when Ishwari collapsed and he feared for her life, he became even more sad. In this context, even though its incorrect to say that it was a treat to watch Shaheer, I must confess that his screen presence in highly emotional scenes elevates the scene and its content to a much higher level than its intended at. ❤️πŸ˜„πŸ˜πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

We have seen Dev bow down in front of God, when he wanted his dear Sonakshi to become a mom.. not for his own selfish needs, but for her sake and her happiness. But this one was even more sincere and he surrendered himself completely to the almighty begging for his mom's life. It was a good touch that Sonakshi overheard him talking to God and hearing all about his conversation with Him for Sona's sake, 8 years ago. The guilt from his mom's crime, the helplessness from her illness, and the fact that he never expressed his feelings to his mom was all totally drowning him! Sonakshi was all that he had in that moment of utmost despair. And Sonakshi supported this pillar of the Dixit family with all her might.πŸ’ͺ🏼πŸ’ͺ🏼

There were not that many dialogues for him after his mom recovered. But who needs dialogues, when Shaheer is the actor! His sigh of relief, his gratitude to Sonakshi, his pride when his mom appreciated Sonakshi and hugged her, were all neatly done by our superhero πŸ˜Š❤️

Sonakshi - the woman who supports the "pillars" of "her family" with all her strength

She loves Dev very dearly. She respects Ishwari. Period. She knows both their weaknesses and strengths. She is the only person that understands what they mean to each other better than they themselves. And above all she is a person with a good heart and a clean upbringing. When there is a girl with these qualities on their side, then any harm that is aimed at them has to bow down and move away. Nothing can harm them.

Whats great about Erica is her underplayed emotions. All TV serials these days have their woman protagonist shed unmeasurable amount of tears and have them talk in high pitched emotional voice. Erica is a change from those stereo types. The character itself demands her to be like that. And she has done full justice to it. πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

Dev Dixit, the otherwise smart, bold, intelligent, go getter of the family, needs a lot of guidance and hand holding when it comes to dealing with the women in his life. I am pretty sure all men are like that. Sonakshi is the only one, that can control his impulsiveness, channelize his anger and love in the right direction. Even after so many years of separation, she has retained this strength. She supported him in every step that night in getting the whole thing under control.

We all keep saying that Sonakshi never expresses that she loves Dev. She never tells him that she needs him. I have also told many times that as much as Dev expresses his love to Sonakshi, she never says much to him. However, I realized this week that her way of expressing her deep love for Dev is by being there for him and his family and emotionally supporting him.

According to her, he is - spineless, mamma's boy, very rude, can never take any decision on his own... However, inspite of all that, why is she doing so much for him? Why is she going back to him and Ishwari again and again and again, inspite of knowing that they will not give her importance. She knows that Ishwari does not like them both to come together at all and probably will never approve of it 100%. Then, why does she even try to heal the pain and discomfort that has now come between this mom and son? She knows that when its a question of choosing between her and his mom, Dev is always going to favor his mom and she is only going to be number 2. Then, why does she stand there and adore the way Dev was taking care of his mom? She knows that Ishwari will forever treat her as an outsider. Why does she go and fall for them again and again and yet again as if its her own family? The answer to all this - is that she loves Dev immensely and his family is very very dear to her. Just like how Dev keeps on telling Sonakshi that he needs her and loves her.. this is her way of expressing her love - by emotionally being there for him and his family in a time of need.❤️❤️❤️πŸ’‘πŸ’‘

But she is also a human being and also loses her ground. And during that time, only her mother can come to her rescue. Asha is the perfect mother that a girl like Sonakshi needs - She gives Sona all the freedom that she needs, without questioning or influencing her. But, if Sona ever breaks down, she rushes to give her shoulders... Asha is Sonakshi's pillar of strength. And yet, Asha did not attempt to interfere in the Dixit family problems.. And Sona was not keen on sharing that with her as well.. Good touch yet again on family values
πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

I really want to be like Asha when I grow a bit older. She is such a tremendous goal for all mothers out there! Not just mothers..She is also an extra ordinary wife goal! How assertively she spoke to her husband and pointed out his mistake to him..
πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜˜πŸ˜˜

The main protagonists have a grey side to them and the "so-called" antagonists have a positive side to them and thats the beauty of this show - that no one is perfect. However cruel, Bijoy is towards Dev and Sonakshi's relationship, he cannot be an evil person that takes advantages of someone's bad time (like the evil Vicky). Asha and dadi's' timely reminder to Bijoy was a good touch this week. I am hoping for a more composed and considerate Bijoy in the coming weeks.

The other tracks this week:

GKB-Vicky - It was a welcome relief to know that GKB considers only Sonakshi as her enemy and not Dev or Ishwari! However, she is banking on Ishwari's naivity to manipulate Sona and Dev's relation... This time, it seems to me that GKB's lentils are not going to cook in Ishwari's stove
πŸ€“πŸ€“

Asha-Dadi-Bijoy - This trio has a bond. Bijoy's insensitive behavior towards the Dixit family's difficult time was rightly criticized by the wise women. It was a relief to see Bijoy trying to amend his mistake and trying to be a responsible man of the house. For a moment, I felt, If only the equation between the 2 homes were good, Bijoy could be great support to the Dixit family, especially to Dev who does not have a father to look up to and to lean on and to get a wise advice in an hour of need.

The Kids - 100 points to the makers for keeping the kids as kids πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ». Golu is the cutest kid in town and when he is on screen, I even forget about DevAkshi reunion. The way he claimed his share of contribution in coloring Ishwari's card and the way he said he needs to spend some quality boy's time with Big cha was toooooooo cute πŸ˜˜πŸ˜˜πŸ˜„

And Please, lets not forget Eleena. The society always under estimates the mom that stays home and watches kids. Its not an easy job. So three cheers to Eleena, for baby sitting the kids while the rest of the folks were in hospital.πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

High scores this week:

1. Shaheer's pitch perfect emotional downpour throughout the week ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
2. Supriya's effortless expression of her deep trauma ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
3. Erica's portrayal of the strong woman Sonakshi is very convincing. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
4. Khatri - this villain will be in my favorite villains list. His style is really awesome! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It seems to me that Dev overheard Ishwari and GKB's conversation. It also seems to me that there will be some change in Ishwari. But I don't want Dev and Sonakshi to get together for Soha or Ishwari or Asha or Bijoy..I want them to get together again for themselves. I want them to be in love for the rest of their lives genuinely.. not out of any compulsion. Let them not succumb to interferences and compulsions. Let their Love win. ❤️❤️

Week 63 - The Concentric circle of Family

Years ago, joint families were very common..Living with grandparents, cousins, uncles and aunts were the only way we knew.  Slowly it changed according to the needs of the individual families.  The size of the "family" living under the same roof definitely started to reduce. It had its own advantages and disadvantages. The main advantage being that there was less "interference" from the generation that was older than us.. but the disadvantage was that the younger generation became very lonely. The decision of whether to go the nuclear way or the joint family way can be easy or difficult based on the level of comfort that the couple have between each other and their parents. Many a times, its hard to realize the protection that our elders give us, unless we don't have it anymore.

Although we have not reached that part of the story yet to make a decision on nuclear family or not, we have reached a point where the "interference" of elders has already caused a lot of damage for the couple and are continuing to affect the peace of the couple.

After the realization that Sona is always on Dev's side and only trying to "help" him all the time, Dev felt genuinely guilty for making the same mistake over and over again! Honestly, if he had known that Sonakshi had a backup plan to trap Khatri, he wouldn't have reacted the way he did.. But then, Sona didn't even allow him to finish that thought and insisted that he stay away from all plans... Dev's temperament is definitely something that he needs to control, but I will not question his intelligence or detective skills. I am sure Sonakshi wouldn't have forgotten the time when Mr.Dixit was a go-getter and had extra ordinary detective skills!! The reference to short hair/floppy hair and stylish dress was much more interesting than the actual Khatri part!! The scene was more enjoyable for me personally because of Golu! I couldn't stop laughing when he said I will listen to mom and write XYZ because with XYZ, alphabets are over !! πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚  And, of course mom is always right!! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

The take away for Dev from that discussion, was not that women are always right.. it was the "trust on Sonakshi" that he needs to work on.  Assuming Dev, Sonakshi and Soha are a family.. unless this family is tied together by each other's love, trust and sacrifice, its very difficult for it to exist even if there are tons of people trying to support or protect them. The bond has to happen naturally within the "family".

As the week progressed, though, there were some very noticeable changes in Dev..and I really enjoyed watching him.

Ishwari wants her son to be happy according to the rules set forth by her. Bijoy wants his daughter to be very happy within the protective circle he created for her. Both of them, over a period of time have interfered in their children's life so much that it now seems that there is no way to go against their wishes. When Bijoy came to the Dixit house looking for Sonakshi and Soha, he was the father of a 10 year old girl, who was in the pursuit of protecting his daughter πŸ˜‘😑 And his daughter, the otherwise independent woman, was trying to convince him only in vain.. Dev and Sonakshi had taken a decision for their daughter's sake. But they changed it. When we let the circle outside our family interfere with our decisions, then our family doesn't become strong.. But then those who are interfering are our own parents..How can we call them external circle and how to decide how much interference we should allow? This question does not have a straight forward answer and can be solved only by trial and error.

Dev has always lived in the moment and never went against his mom. The only other time that he went against her was during Sonakshi's engagement with Rithvik. To me, inspite of his mom deciding that they will go to the Bose house, he coming to Sona and asking her not to leave was a "change" I saw in him. And on top of it, the way he shared Mami and Ishwari's conversation (that he overheard!! seriously, are there no doors in the Dixit house? πŸ€”πŸ€”) with Sonashi was a huge change in him. This is the kind of "teamwork" I wanted to see between Dev and Sona πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ» With this kind of open conversation between Dev and Sona, the interference of elders will definitely not cause any friction within the core family Dev-Sona-Soha. This is the kind of concentric circle I was referring to - the core inner family must be open in all their discussions and have tons of trust on each other.. whatever happens because of the older generation, need to be discussed openly before taking anyone's side.

In an attempt to make Sonakshi and Suhana stay back in the Dixit house with him, Dev fell sick, thanks to Golu's idea of fake illness story to avoid dance class! I always visualize Dev as the person representing the heart and Sonakshi as someone that represents the brain. Even though Sonakshi uses her brain more than the heart in matters related to Dev, she lets her heart out to Ishwari. When it is a question of making Ishwari happy and content, she gives her everything to her, just like Dev. In that angle, Sonakshi is the "perfect" companion, support and life partner for Devrath Dixit s/o Ishwari Dixit. It was very heartwarming to see Sonakshi do everything that she can, to make Ishwari feel content... letting Ishwari take the lead in caring for Dev, letting the grandkids play with her.. She even went to the point of leaving the Dixit home without Suhana and letting her stay with Ishwari, until Dev gets well. All this, apart from the dangerous Khatri episode that she was handling. A woman like Sonakshi is the kind of daughter in law that every house needs! But Ishwari somehow could not trust her enough to give Dev 100% to her.

Dev understands Sonakshi's good intentions for most part, even though he also occasionally doubts her sincerity. But then, luck has also been completely unfavorable to him! Otherwise why would Ishwari always listen to only half of his conversations with Sonakshi, when he was able to overhear the whole conversation of Ishwari almost always?!  And because of this bad luck, he often gets himself in a soup! Ishwari with the help of GKB's evil push, decided to challenge Dev one more time by giving him tough choices! The emotional blackmail is always the trump card the parents tend to use on their perfect kids when they want their kids to do what they want..Such blackmailing will never work on kids who don't respect their parents! The same time as Ishwari challenged Dev, Sonakshi was also put in a spot by Bijoy.

One of main differences between Dev and Sonakshi is the kind of dependence they have on each other or to be precise, the way they express it. Dev right away went to Sonakshi, when he had to face Ishwari's challenge. Dev had always depended on her as a friend even before he realized she was much more than a friend.  However, Sonakshi was able to decide for herself, as always. What she promised Bijoy was something she had to, for Suhana's sake. Dev also pretty much said the same to his mom, however, he lacked conviction and assertiveness and that lack of assertiveness gave a wrong message to his mom that she could still influence him.

I have always wondered as to why Ishwari is unable to get the confidence on Sonakshi that she will not take Dev away from her.  When the case of Khatri is resolved and when Ishwari realizes that Sonakshi was instrumental in getting it resolved, she might gain that trust in her? Or may be not.

But whether Ishwari accepts Sonkashi with an open heart or not and whether Bijoy accepts Dev with an open heart or not, should not matter at all, if there is utmost confidence and trust in their innermost circle of "family". By saying this, I don't mean that Ishwari or Bijoy must be ignored or treated with disrespect. Dev and Sonakshi are son and daughter goals and will never ever do that. However, they have to mature enough to a point where Ishwari or Bijoy cannot influence how they feel for each other.. Thats the direction, I think, we are heading in our show and I am extremely happy about that. It is not going to happen overnight. Its a slow process of realization for everyone.

In the meantime, Sonakshi continued to make progress in the case of Khatri and continued to care for her dear Dev and his family with all her heart and even managed to secretly think about Dev fondly whenever things reminded of him. Dev continued to reach out to Sonakshi and expressed to her subtly that only she can help him. The car ride after a long time was a pleasant sequence for us, inspite of the discomfort prevailing there..πŸ’ž

I have been impressed with Sonakshi's composure this week and it was very impressive that night. πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ‘ŒπŸ» As Dev told all about the conversation he had with his mom, Sonakshi quietly listened and guided they the way a friend would. She said the right things to him, because the place there are in now, is no different from seven years ago and it will be a suicide to get into a relationship again knowing fully well about the implications.

She acted unaffected when Dev told her that his mom asked him to marry someone else. However she, Dev and we knew that she was very much sad when she heard the news.. It reminded me of the time, Dev put on the ring that was intended for Natasha in Sona's fingers.. She almost experienced the same pain then and now.

Shaheer is a show stealer and thats no news to us. His subtle expressions throughout the week were commendable. That night, he pulled us into the life of Dev like a magnet, as he stood there shocked when Sonakshi referred to him as "Dost" πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ» Am sure Sona knows the pain of the word.. She was also once devastated that Dev "friend-zoned" her! And that time around, Dev did not even know that Sonakshi loved him as a woman loves a man. Well.. this discussion is not done yet. And no conclusions can be made. So, Sonakshi - please don't say that your paths have changed.

The only person that has the power to change the path is God.  But if someone thinks that they can affect the peace of someone else or they can decide someone's future, then they are just fooling themselves. Radha rani's plans will never bear any fruit. Her plan to find a girl who will dance to her tunes as Dev's wife is by far her most hilarious hopes! Even though maami is technically part of the bigger family of the Dixits, her presence only causes harm for the family.

I would like to compare family of today to a concentric circle because every family needs to be protected by grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, friends and all sorts of human relations. And all of them form the different circles covering and protecting the innermost core family of us and our kids. The protection that every person in the concentric circle gives us is extremely valuable for us. At the same time, it is our responsibility to weigh the decisions made by our elders carefully with every member of our core family and use it to only strengthen us and not weaken us.

It was a rather difficult week for all of us to witness, as Ishwari's and Bijoy's blackmails were causing lot of stress to DevAkshi and us..however, there were many memorable moments to cherish-

1. Golu brightens not just the screen but also Dev's day, whenever he is around. All his scenes were lovely. Whether it was being possessive of Dev or angry for ignoring him and taking Suhana's side or it was comforting Dev when he was sad - Golu performed exceeding well and very natural. Golu baba has a solution to pretty much all of Dev's problems! πŸ˜„

2. Dev's light hearted conversation about Bijoy was also quite enjoyable this week. Dev and Bijoy have now reached a point where even though they cant share a super chemistry, they can still survive with each other around! And this current pace is probably just right! Too much chemistry might lead to more interference..So, this is good πŸ˜Š

3. Shaheer's expressions are always so apt and conveys the emotions without the need of any dialogues. His body language and dialogue delivery are always pitch perfect πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ» The conversation between Sona and Dev on friday was one such beautiful scene. His speechless state after seeing Sonakshi's reaction to all that he said was just perfect πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ‘ŒπŸ» Throughout the week, there were so many subtle expressions! When I browse through twitter, its a treat to watch fans zooming in on those expressions..I was telling my friends that we should probably create a gif library with all those expressions! πŸ˜πŸ˜„

4. Erica portrayed a very calm and composed Sonakshi this week and I totally loved it. When there is storm around, I also react this way and I could so easily relate to her. I particularly liked her conversation with Ishwari and Maami informing them that she is leaving behind Suhana and also the conversation with Dev on Friday, while changing tires in the car. Excellent!πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

5. Every week, dialogue writers need a special mention.. The highlight dialogues this week was when Dev told Sona "If only I could control people's mind, the first thing I would have done was to control yours..so that we didn't drift apart.. and we would have had several kids" πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ’–πŸ’•πŸ’ž  The dialogue about how it was necessary to understand him more in order to leave him than to love him was also very classy! πŸ’”πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ» I could probably go on listing several scenes, since the blog does not have any character limit!

6. Saurabh's reaction for Bijoy's interference in Sonakshi's life reflected our emotions.. However, this is not the way to stop the elders' interference.. I am very impulsive and end up reacting to my dad many times like this..and later feel bad about it. Hope Saurabh finds a right way, with the help of Ronita, to make Bijoy realize his mistake..

7. The twist with the entry of the new family keeps us glued now to the Khatri track πŸ€“

Looking ahead-
The precap shown in which Dev was seen blaming Ishwari for stealing, is probably her dream. Dev is not a person who would treat his mother like that. Ishwari will definitely have to answer in the court of God when it is a question of being a good human being or not..But as a mother, she will only be forgiven for whatever she did. Mothers have to fight many battles that only God can understand. Happy Mother's day πŸ˜Š

Week 62 - Dependence and Trust

Dependence is the act of relying on someone or something for a particular task. Once that task is done, the dependence goes away, until the need comes again. But Trust is enduring and lasts for a long time and is applied on everything that a person does.

From the cup of coffee in the morning to the correct temperature in the air conditioner at night, I am dependent on many things for my happiness. We all are. While this material dependence itself is difficult to wean away from, do I have to even explain how hard it will be to detach ourselves from the people that we are dependent on? A husband depends on wife to show him the right path and a wife depends on a husband to give her the emotional support. The kids depend on the parents for everything. And parents, when they grow old, depend on their kids for everything.

After the Khatri's incident last week, Dev and Sonakshi have become friends once again and the "Mujhe farak nahi padtha" dialogue has gone forever (I hope)! It was a very enjoyable week especially because of the absence of this hatred. The absence of Ishwari (for most part) and Bijoy was an added happiness! The show being a daily soap, has an audience that is predominantly womenfolk and therefore you would think that the content is women centered. But the uniqueness of this show is that the narration is from the man's point of view. He becomes the hero or the villain according to the situation thats being told. This week, he was both.😊

With the friendliness that Dev was now feeling with Sonakshi, there was no need for him to wear that "forced" enmity mask. Welcoming Asha warmly into the Dixit home came naturally to him. Asha's smile told us how much she had missed this friendly Dev all these years. For GKB and Vicky though, the friendly Dev was causing a lot of inconvenience! And they tried their best to make themselves feel at home and Asha feel like a completely unwelcome guest! I loved the way Dev stood up for Asha that day :) And I loved the way he told Vicky how special was Sonakshi in terms of what she did for the "family".  Dev had always been protective of Sona from GKB and Vicky as long as his mom was not involved. πŸ˜Š

With his mom's absence Dev and Sona's friendliness grew stronger this week and it was a treat for us! The discussion about the complexity of women was a nice parallel from long time ago and I enjoyed it a lot :) I agree with Dev that a "Good night" from a woman can even be a disguised "I hate you!". However, I will not let him criticize about our "thinking ahead" skills! After the TV or match that the family watches, when its time for dinner, are we going to order from Pizza hut everyday?? We obviously need to think of dinner much before you think of eating!! Men can never understand these things..😏😏 thats why, they are men and we are women!

A mutual dependence between a husband and wife is much more than the trivial things like food.. The dependence grows very naturally and most of the time, we are not even aware of it, unless we are not around for each other. Now that Sonakshi is around, Dev's sudden feeling of somewhat free and out of stress attitude is very nicely captured by the makers..Its a very natural feeling. But the dependence will have no base of support, if there is no trust. Once or twice, we can forgive this lack of trust and treat the person's dependency on us with empathy.. But it cannot be done forever. We will only end up tiring out, proving ourselves to the other person all the time.

Dev is a person that lives in the present, like most of the men. The closeness and friendliness he was experiencing with Sonakshi made him assume a few things and it was obviously a little difficult to digest when he overheard Sonakshi reiterating to Eleena that her relationship with Dev has not changed and will not change and that only the enmity and hatred are not there anymore. As soon as that realization set in his mind, his trust on her also faded almost instantaneously and he started to doubt her sincerity towards his mom's secret! The discomfort was excellently done by the lead actors. πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

I read in one of the fan comments about how eavesdropping is one of the Dixit family traits... very true I think. Its ok for me, as long as they overhear the whole conversation and not come to a conclusion based on a part of it..I am glad Dev heard the right things including how Sonakshi feels about Dev's fatherhood! Dev's trust on Sonakshi was quickly and quietly reestablished. πŸ˜Š

Sonakshi also does not trust Dev as much. When she faced a problem that involved Dev, she did not trust him enough nor did she depend on him to be a part of her actions. She always preferred to do it alone and then finally show the finished product/action to him. As long as the task was finished well, Dev was all praises for her and she was happy and if there was a problem, especially if his mother is involved in it, then Dev flips and blames her.  This is something that has been happening from the beginning of the show. The relationship has seen its ups and downs and there are now much more reasons to depend on and trust each other. But its still a work in progress relationship. πŸ€“πŸ€“

Even though there is a lack of trust, the "responsibility" and "care" they both feel towards each other has not diminished at all..Thats why, Sonakshi felt the need to take him to the slum to show him that his mom is indeed a noble woman and has been helping many many families there. And Dev rightly acknowledged her pursuit of getting him out of the guilt. This care that they have for each other is what keeps on giving us the hope that one day, this "work in progress" relationship will reach a mature point where they are able to trust each other blindly.

This is a daily soap and viewers should not confuse this with a three hour movie in which the changes we see in characters are quick and clear. Here the changes will happen over a period of time and rightly so, because human relations mature in a very slow pace. The daily events and the situations that they are in, lead them to bigger realizations... One such event was the cute coffee scene, in which Dev expressed in his own cute way of how he still remembers about her favorite Latte and even expressed (as a joke) how he longed for his need to be owned by her.. These little situations are absolutely necessary and play a very important role in re-establishing the lost connection between each other!😊

Dev has always been more expressive especially when it comes to expressing his deep love for her. In an unconscious state, he does that even better!! Thanks to GKB, for creating such a situation for DevAkshi. The regrets he expressed were so honest! "I have plenty of things to regret..I did not love you enough, I fought with you and let you go, when I should have supported you..My heart is full of pain that I am never able to get rid of.. and I long for your company". It was too emotional for me when he went on to say that he wished that he will never wake from sleep at all, but is devastated to wake up everyday and undergo the pain. It was heart wrenching when he asked her hesitantly, if she felt anything like that at all for him with his eyes full of tears..And I cried with him as he told her that he was too tired living without her and that he has been living in pieces all these years waiting for her to come and set everything right again. He said everything that he wanted to say.. and also pleaded her to come back to him and be his own Sonakshi...Even though it was in an unconscious state, as per the story line, things are now expressed crystal clear from Dev's side. Shaheer always outperforms himself and this one just beat his earlier performances! You are a treat to watch, Shaheer and watching you perform these emotional scenes is an experience we cannot resist or take our eyes off!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❤️πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜πŸ˜

How easily Dev said what he wanted to say... In a way, he kept down all the burden he was holding in his heart for the last seven years.. Sonakshi neither could say anything nor could ignore the storm that he created and pulled her into him. Like she said, he has always managed to capture her and lock her inside his circle of Love and never let her go! Erica did an amazing job as the person who also loved Dev deeply, but unable to express her love only because she knew fully well that Dev cannot support her in their relationship.πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½  As if the pain that she was already experiencing was not enough, Dev in his conscious state acknowledged that what he felt and said was true but also agreed with her that they cannot become one again for the obvious reasons.. and promised to maintain "distance" and never bring up the topic again.. Its probably what Sona wanted to hear as well, but she did feel bad that she herself put an end to any hopes that was remaining of their lives together..However strong women portray themselves, they are dependent on their husbands emotionally and crave for the warmth they get in their husband's shelter. Without that, they cannot perform well. And with that, they can conquer anything in this world! πŸ˜Š

Dev and Sona have to give some time and be in the friend zone. To be in this zone itself is a huge step for them. I am content seeing them like this! Asha and Eleena pretty much echoed the DevAkshi fan comments!! Eleena's excited call to Asha, Asha's amused smile when she caught them both looking into each other's eyes lying on the side walk, were all exactly our emotions! Thank God Ishwari did not see this.. This would haunt her more than the scene that she saw..  Its really good to see DevAkshi well-wishers within the show, so I would only request for more interactions between Eleena and Asha!  πŸ˜„

Khatri's crime is not huge to be in prison for a longer time. And the favor that Dev and Sona are expecting of him is not something that he must oblige to.. Therefore Dev's harsh/impulsive ways of getting the address from Khatri will probably not work. So Sonakshi's smart ways are necessary. I am ok up until this point. Being a Dev and Shaheer fan, this itself took some extra effort from my part to accept..I will argue that when they go to meet a criminal in a police station, its probably a good idea for both to go...But there is probably a need to highlight Sonakshi's temperament..and Dev's impulsiveness.. So I was ok up until this point. However, the fact that Sonakshi had a backup plan in case Khatri gives a wrong address and that she executed the backup plan with Jatin and not with Dev was not something I liked.. It means to me that Sonakshi does not trust Dev. And Dev disappointed me as well.. Up until the point that Sonakshi told him that she got the address from Khatri, he spoke to her as if she was the savior of everything and the moment she told him that Khatri got away by giving a wrong address, Dev totally flipped and blamed Sonakshi. This couple is not ready yet to live together.πŸ˜‘πŸ˜’πŸ˜’

Dev and Sona have so much to work on before they can think of living together again! But even before all that Ishwari's insecurities started again. She was welcomed back to Delhi with the scene of Sonakshi investigating Dev's wounds with care! What more does she need to go into her "worry" mode? What surprised me, like everyone else, was how she failed to even notice the big bandage in Dev's hand...but was so much more concerned for him being with Sonakshi! If only she knew what the two are upto ... Her grand daughter Suhana was right in front of her, but yet, she dwelled only on what she saw and heard between Dev and Sona. If you are going to eavesdrop, why not do it for the whole conversation...πŸ˜’ If only this mother can see what we all see.. πŸ˜’

When the parents become old, they become very dependent on their kids, especially emotionally. I live many thousands of miles away from my parents. Technically, I cannot do anything for them because of the distance. But they depend on me, for that one phone call everyday. There may be nothing new that happened between yesterday and today, yet I make that call, because I know they expect that call. Distance cannot take away that emotional dependence we have on each other. Its one life.. shouldn't we do what we have to do?

There are all sorts of men and women in this world. There are many men who consider their parents as a big burden for them. There are many women who manipulate against their parents-in-law so that they can get 100% of their husband's care, attention and more. Ishwari's insecurities based on this trend that the world today has, is not completely baseless. However, with a little thought, she can clearly see that neither Dev is a son who will leave his mother behind, nor Sonakshi is the woman who will let Dev do something as absurd as that. Dev and Sona can together do wonders for Suhana, Ishwari, Neha, Nikki, Ria, mami, mama, Vicky, Eleena, Golu, Bijoy, Asha, Saurabh, and Rounita. ❤️

--------

Some of the scenes that exceeded bars this week are:

1. Dev's honest regrets and heartfelt apologies in the unconscious state and later a deep sigh and acknowledgement of reality when he was conscious. The writers have conceived this extremely well and Shaheer easily carries these out like a breeze. We can only look at him with awe! πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½❤️πŸ˜„πŸ˜

2. Sonakshi's very deep sadness and helplessness. Erica's portrayal of Sonakshi is very real and we can easily connect with it.πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½ The only problem I have with Sonakshi is her need to act strong and perfect all the time. If Sonakshi can get over this urge, and express her weakness to the ones that she is very dear to.. atleast once, I feel she will feel much lighter and the depth of her sadness will probably reduce.😊

3. Even after Dev and Sonakshi agreed to maintain distance, they come across situations and conversations where they cannot help but think of how nice it will be to be together.. All of those moments are very interesting to watch. In one such scene, while telling Sonakshi about his encounter with Khatri,  I really enjoyed how Dev tried to ease the situation with a friendly appreciation and a gesture of bowing down his head to Sonakshi's skills.πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ˜Š

4. Sonakshi's rather assertive warning to GKB to stay away from Dev and his family. It was interesting to see GKB become speechless!πŸ‘ŠπŸ»πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

5. Khatri's walkaway with style! This villain sure brings some new flavor to our show! πŸ˜„

6. Asha and Eleena's secret happiness over the growing bond of DevAkshiπŸ˜˜πŸ’•

7. The pleasant coffee date in which Dev expressed how he wished Sonakshi can express her possessive side to him.πŸ˜„

Looking ahead,

I hope Ishwari and GKB let Dev and Sona be together.πŸ™πŸΌ
In the meantime, I hope Dev and Sona strengthen their trust on each other and respect the fact that they are indeed dependent on each other.πŸ’‘
I hope they somehow extract the address of that family from Khatri and help Ishwari get over the guilt that she has been carrying all these years.πŸ’ͺπŸΌπŸ™πŸΌ
I hope Suhana and Golu bond very well and become the bestest friends that seeing their love for each other, GKB and Vicky realize their grave mistakes.❤️❤️
